Temple of GOD…?! that's what Christians are themselves!
Many churches claim to be 'a Temple or house of GOD', but their ways, means, behaviour and fruit shows us very clearly, that they are definately not that. Also the Bible tells something quite different! Please read with me...

Hebrews 3:6: - but Christ was faithful over God’s House as a son. And we are His House if we hold fast our confidence and pride in our hope.

The Pharisees & Gods Temple
Till the crucifixion of Christ the Temple of stone was Gods House and the Pharisees were priests of GOD. But as we know from the Bible the same Pharisees delivered Jesus to the Romans and asked the death-sentence for him. As a result Jesus was crucified and he died at the cross. At the same time the priestly mediator role came to an end for the Jews / Pharisees.

GOD showed the end of the role of the Temple-priests in a very special way; HE tore the curtain before the Holiest part of the Temple so we can enter there. Read it yourself:

Matthew 27:50-53 - Death at the cross followed by torn Temple-curtain...
'And Jesus cried again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit. And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom; and the earth shook, and the rocks were split; the tombs also were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many'.

Hebrews 10:19-21 - Jesus opened the way to GOD for us
Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way which he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God.

Christ's sacrifice at the cross was made so we can get to GOD again; not through priests but through Christ. And coming to Christ can only be by means of baptism by immersion. In this way you become a clean temple in Jesus; also worthy of receiving Gods Spirit in that clean temple!

This is what the Bible says about it:

Ephesians 2:19-22 - In Jesus Christians grow out into a holy Temple of GOD in Jesus
So then ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but ye are fellow-citizens with every other Christian, and of the household of God, being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone; in whom each several building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

Hebrews 3:4-6 - Christians are Gods House in Jesus
For every house is built by some one, but the builder of all things is God. Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, but Christ was faithful over God’s house as a son. And we are His house if we hold fast our confidence and pride in our hope.

Clearly the Bible doesnot speak about 'churches' or 'houses of stone', but about Temples in Christ of flesh and blood; Christians are actually Temples of GOD personally. It is the Spirit of GOD that guides them when they have received the Spirit/spiritual Gifts after the laying on of hands.

Obviously Christians are not organized by- and are not led by/to earthly organisations or their priests to buildings of stone!

No Christians stand above another Christian!
When Christ washed the feet of his pupils just before the Holy Supper he made clear in Christ we are all of the same rank and standing. No Christian is higher of better then another Christian.

John 13:14-17 - No Christian is greater then another Christian
If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

The 4th Century Babylon-based-RC-church and all (protestant) churches that originated from that pagan church are neither organized nor equipped according to what Jesus teaches Christians here!

Churches however:

  • do have paid (!) priests appointed and standing above 'their' members...
  • do have priests in a 'mediation role' ...
  • are buildings of stone in which priests are in power...

    Churches and their member in that way are acting against the teachings of Christ. In that state they have neither been connected to GOD by His Spirit nor have they received the Spiritual Gifts to go out with. Consequently they willnot grow the in the Fruit of the Spirit either!

    What Christians are supposed to do?! …

  • Definately not trying to become a churchmember.
  • Definatly not sitting and participating in church and church-services
  • Definately not trying to become a church-leader or church-speaker

    What Christians are supposed to do and what is expected of them? It is really simple actually: as soon as you have become a Christian [= a clean Temple in Christ] by baptism by immersion Christians need to re-unite with GOD by the laying on of hands. At the same time GOD can give you the Spiritual Gifts; the Spiritual Tools Christians need to go out with in service for others.

    Finally this: are you a churchmember or have you been churchmember for years? Do realize that churches are keeping you from becoming Christians as GOD and Jesus want to. The churchboard and their priests/leaders/speakers are damaging and misleading people in that way. And they are keeping you from a renewed spiritual connection with GOD leading to the Fruit of GOD that will give eternal life.

    So: do not stay in church, but quit your churchmembership instead. Get yourself baptized in Christ and ask for the laying on of hands afterwards so you get spiritually connected to GOD and receive the Spiritual Gifts at the same time. When you go out with in that Spiritual Connection you will act according to the Commandments of GOD and fulfil what is asked of all Christians by GOD ans His Son Jesus.
