Biblical Feasts for biblical Christians
Only a few years ago I came to the conclusion that church-feasts -as established by the Roman-catholic church- are a continuation of Babylon!. Totally unsuitable for Christians!

All known church-feasts like Easter, Christmas, Ascension, Carnaval and Pentecost are from start to finish and background pagan feasts based on pagan gods from Babylon.

Easter -also known as Ishtar of Astarte- is the foundation of the church-paganism. She is known as the female part of the Babylonian Trinity Sungod. In foundation and startingpoint this pagan feast is certainly not the same as Passover and the connecting Feast of the Unleavened Bread marking the first day and first month of the biblical Calendar!

The biblical Feasts are starting with Passover 14 Nisan and in that way the ultimate beginning for all children of GOD;

In that freedom it is of utmost importance to investigate which feasts are biblical and which are not so Christians will grow in Gods Wil instead of sin and paganism against Gods Wil!

Biblical Feasts: appointed by GOD
Leviticus 23:1-2 and Num. 10:10 make it very clear that GOD appointed and declared the biblical Feasts. Besides that we can clearly read in Isaiah 66:22-23 that the biblical Feasts are for everyone; even AFTER the new Heaven and Earth have been established by GOD!

The first Christians also kept the biblical Feasts; of course without the offerings, because Jesus gave himself at the cross as the ultimate offering before GOD!

What can also be gathered from the Bible-verses above is that there are 3 kinds of Feasts:

  • The Sabbath; also see the 4th Commandment: friday sunset till saturday sunset
  • The New Moon; first day of the new biblical month
  • The appointed Feasts

These Feasts have been appointed by GOD and to be kept by us for all eternity

The biblical Feasts are Gods Feasts

GOD has established His Feasts and consequently these Feasts are His Feasts and not 'Jewish-feasts' made by- and for Jewish-people (only). Besides that: the Feasts are to be kept by all children of GOD; for all peoples and generations for all eternity!

The Bible tells us in Leviticus and Numbers 27+28 about the following Feasts of GOD:

Since every month of the biblical Calendar starts with a new moon it is import to explain first what exactly a New Moon is and what not!

    New Moon: totally invisable moon
In Israel and Arabia there were many astronomers and that is why they knew long before when New Moons and full moons would be.

A new moon -the opposite of a full moon- is totally invisable for the eye; there is no visable moon. The day after the night with the New Moon will be celebrated by all of Gods Children as a day of renewal and rest. In that way every New Moon of every new month is a Feast of GOD.

Muslims do not keep the new moon, but the crescent moon 2-3 days after the new moon; for example the start of Ramadan. They call it 'new moon', but it is not.

The crescent moon the muslims use above their mosks, in their flags and for Ramadan is the symbol of the pagan god of Arabia: Alilah or Allah for short. It is the moongoddess 'Astarte' or 'Ishtar'; the babylonian pagan trinity. Definately not the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Jesus, but a nasty pagan god!

The Sabbath: the Day of GOD
As can be read in Genesis it was GOD Himself that determined the Sabbath and kept it as a day of rest; also giving that day His special blessing. This Sabbath is also anchored in the 10-Commandments of GOD. The 4th Commandment asks us to keep the Sabbath as a day of rest; not to work on this day nor to have people working for you!

The Sabbath is from Friday sundown till Saturday sundown; exactly a biblical day as described in Genesis.

The biblical Feasts: when- and how to determine?
Many people keep the Jewish calender; only this calender isnot the biblical Calendar at all.

The current Jewish calender is based on the calender of Pharisees and the Hillel-II-agreement. It will be clear to everyone that the calender of the murderers of Jesus willnot and cannot be biblical to start with. Their calender looks a bit like the biblical Calender, but is definately not the same.

The Jewish Saducees-calendar from before the Pharisees-calender was not correct either; many biblical Feasts and times of Feast were altered or manipulated to serve their purposes. The calender before that calender was in the same way not correct either!

How to determine the biblical Feast in a biblical way yourself?
Clearly the general Jewish- and church-calenders are not correct and not suitable for Christians, so you cannot use those calenders. Also: the biblical Calender is different every year because the days differ according to sun- and moon. Pre-set fixed feasts are not possible. Fixed geographical calender [for instance 'Jerusalem-time'] are not possible either for the same reasons.

The Bible tells us exactly how to calculate the Feasts and how to start with which feast. GOD arranged it all for His Children! Still: we have to determine the Feasts ourselves according to the Bible.

Biblical startingpoints for the biblical Feasts

    The Sabbath
All Christians weekly keep the Sabbath from Friday sundown till Saturday sundown. Your time of sundown differs of course from other countries on Earth, but your local Friday-sundown is the sundown that counts for you as a startingpoint for your Sabbath.

    The New Moons
The same can be applied to the New Moons on a monthly basis; only a bit more complex, because besides the sundown you also need to know the monthly date and time when a new moon occurs. When you know the date and time of the new moon you have to check it against the exact time of sundown on that date.

  • When the new moon is before sundown: you celebrate the New Moon-Feast during daytime of that date.
  • When the new moon is after sundown: you celebrate the New Moon-Feast during daytime of the next day.

    The Feasts
All Feasts GOD determined are starting with the Passover and connecting Feast of the Unleavened Bread [=Pascha]. The following Feasts all interconnect with that starting-Feast, which is logical because Passover is the day of Crucifixion of Jesus: the day Christians see the promise of GOD fulfilled. Passover is the heart of the Gospel.

Since all Feasts depend on the date of Passover -14 Nisan sundown- it is important to know exactly when Passover is in a particular year. Determine it as follows:

    The connecting biblical Feasts
The other Feasts are all building ahead on the Passover-Feast as follows:

Planning your leave so you can keep the biblical Feasts
When you realize, that the biblical Feasts are meant voor biblical Christians -because GOD asks of His Children to keep those days- it is very important you take special actions so you are able to actually keep those days.

Planning ahead is very important; also for asking these days of from work with your employer. When you ask a day of more than 3 month before the biblical Feast start you usually will get those day/days of without any problem.

It is good to know, that the first day of a biblical Feast ánd the last day of a biblical Feast are always to be kept as a Sabbath. When there is only a one-day-Feast that day of course is to be kept as a Sabbath.

The days between the first and the last day of a biblical Feast do not have to be kept as Sabbaths, so you do not have to take those days of work. But if you can get those days of it would be the logical and biblical thing to do. Besides that: in that way you have a true Feast-vacation!

We found out that each year the keeping of New Moons and Feasts cost us about 14 days off. Usually 9 New Moons and 5 days for the Feasts. Because one normally has 24 days of there are enough days left. Besides that: some public holidays incorporate also biblical Feasts, so you neednot taking those days of.

Biblical Feasts: a preparation for now & later!
When you start keeping the Feasts you will also find out and experience that you are more relaxed, seem to have more than double the spare-time others have and your focus is according to the Bible and the way the first Christians went; also looking towards the future with the Feasts as guide and shaping you!

The biblical Feast are -starting with the Crucifixion of Jesus (Passover)- showing and preparing Christians what is going to happen in their future.

  • New Moons: monthly renewal in Heaven by eating of the Fruit of Life / drinking eternal water.
  • Sabbaths: weekly day of rest
  • Pentecost: receiving the Spirit
  • Feast of Trumpets: Anouncement Jesus is coming to us from Heaven
  • Atonement Day: day of fasting and preparation to go to GOD in Heaven.
  • Ingathering-Feast: Christian are gathered to go with Jesus and the angels to GOD in Heaven.

All Feasts prepare you and shape you as a Christian for what is the happen in the future; providing you with everything you need before that future arrives! Christians gladly keep the biblical Feasts of GOD; for now and as a preparations for later!
