Passover

All biblical Feasts for all Children of GOD are founded on Passover; the day Jesus died at the cross; also the day the last plaque was set over Egypt and just before the Exodus of the Jewish people started. The Exodus ended their life in slavery. Also for Christians a lifetime in slavery came to an end when Jesus died at the cross for all sin.
Consequently a correctly determined Passover is very important, because all remaining Feasts and their dates depend on it. Of course not the Sabbath and the New Moon Feast, because these days are on fixed days of the week and month; not connecting directly with Passover. Only the pinpointing of the first New Moon is very important, because Passover is calculated on this first New Moon.

Connection between Passover, Firstfruit-Feast and Pentecost is no coincidence at all!
But the Gospel of course also is about eternal life; Jesus stood up from the dead and received a new body. In that way Jesus is the Firstfruit of GOD and by his example all Christians will receive a new body and eternal life as well. The Firstfruit-Feast reminds Christians about their eternal future.
Still: the Gospel tells us Christians are able to come to GOD again after becoming a Christian by baptism. And joining GOD is done by means of the laying on of hands, because in that way Christians receive both the Spirit and the Spiritual Gifts. Before the apostles could teach and do the laying on of hands the Spirit had to be poured out over the Earth and Pentecost is all about that.
Now you know why Passover, Firstfruit-Feast and Pentecost connect; they cannot stay seperately. The Gospel needs all three Feasts to enable an eternal future with GOD! Also all the other Feasts point towards the future; in that way the biblical-Feasts are no 'church-history-feasts' at all.
Church-Easter: pagan day based on Ishtar
Clearly a pagan church-foundation willnot shape Christians. Besides that: Christians need to be ready for a certain future; looking back at biblical history only willnot shape them- and willnot make them ready for that future at all!
Finally this Sunday-keeping: doesnot equal keeping the Sabbath according to the 4th Commandment of GOD;the Sunday-keeping also is a pagan institution of the 4th century-Roman Catholic church for the same babylonian pagan sungod.
Only Gods Sabbath -Friday sundown till Saturday sundown received Gods Special Blessings (Genesis 2:3). And only that Sabbath was appointed by GOD (Exodus 20).
High Sabbath & weekly Sabbath between crucifixion & resurrection
Matthew 28:1 wrongly translated says 'Now after the Sabbath...', but the original Greek Scripture mentions 'Sabbatton'; the plural form of Sabbath. And plural means plural, so it should be translated with 'After the Sabbaths' instead! Multiple Sabbaths are falling between the Crucifixion and the Resurrection!

Of course we also know from John 19:31 that Jesus was crucified and burried just before a High Sabbath -being the first day of the Uneavened Bread-Feast-. Also that Jesus rose from the dead 3 days and 3 nights after the common weekly Sabbath (John 20:1). Clearly 2 Sabbaths instead of just one!
Incorrect translation of Matthew 26:17 and Mark 14:12
'The Unleavened Bread'-part isnot correct either; Mark 14:12 identifies that particular piece of the day
The first day of the Unleavened Bread however starts afterwards on the morning of the 15 Nisan. Clearly the Jews in the time of Jesus connected Passover and Feast Unleavened Bread as one Feast ('Pascha'); and that is probably why Mark and others mention the preparing of the sheepmeat being the first day of the Unleavened Bread-Feast. It actually should read:
John 18:28 and John 19:14 tell about the capture- and leading before priests and state/charging of Jesus; clearly happening before Pascha, and Pascha-meal and before the Crucufixion. Clearly Matthew 26:17 and Mark 14:12 werenot translated accurately.
3. We know from the Last Supper that the meal wasnot consistent with the Passover-meal, because Jesus and the disciples ate bread and soup/sauce. The Passover-meal by Law (Ex 12:5-9) had to consist of sheeproast, bitter herbs and unleavened bread; quite different from what they ate at the Last Supper!
Passover-meal: roasted lamb with bitter herbs and unleavened bread
It may well be that you now start realizing -after reading this- that church isnot a good place to be; definately not a place for Christians. What Christians are supposed to be and what they are supposed to do you can read by clicking on the following links:
Because of a (deliberately) incorrect translation of Matthew 26:17 and Mark 14:12 ['On the first day of Unleavened Bread'] there is total confusion about the chronology of the Last Supper, Crucufixion and Resurrection. Totally not necessary when you (1) look at the translations in detail, when you (2) compare these translation with other parts of the Bible and when you (3) look at the Last Supper as a meal.
1.
The 2 words translated with 'on' -the words kai <2532> and th <3588> used together actually mean 'Because of' or 'concerning', which would translate: 'Because of the first day of the Unleavened Bread...'.
'when they sacrificed the passover lamb'.
That lamb was slaughtered according to the Law (Exodus 12:6) just before Passover on the 14th of Nisan starting-evening (13 on 14 Nisan).
John 18:28 - Arraigned before Passover and before Passover-meal
Then they led Jesus from the house of Caiaphas to the praetorium. It was early. They themselves did not enter the praetorium, so that they might not be defiled, but might eat the passover.
Now it was the day of Preparation of the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. He said to the Jews, "Behold your King!" They cried out, "Away with him, away with him, crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar." Then he handed him over to them to be crucified.
Exodus 12:5-9 - Passover-meal: sheeproast with bitter herbs and bread
Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old; you shall take it from the sheep or from the goats; and you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs in the evening. Then they shall take some of the blood, and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat them. They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted; with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it. Do not eat any of it raw or boiled with water, but roasted, its head with its legs and its inner parts.
John 13:18 - Bread is the main course of the meal
I am not speaking of you all; I know whom I have chosen; it is that the scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.
Jesus answered, "It is he to whom I shall give this morsel when I have dipped it." So when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.
Clearly the Last Supper and the Passover-meal are not the same. Also we now that the Last Supper fell one day before Passover; the evening of 13 on 14 Nisan; Passover is the evening of 14 on 15 Nisan; the next morning of the 15th Nisan is the first day of the Unleavened BreadFeast.
