Short course 'testing' and 'investigating'…
Sign2God has received many questions that are always about 'supplying additional evidence'. Sometimes about Bible-studies, somtimes about the backgrounds of people, churches or organisations. Of course we try to 'meet the demand', but it would be better when everyone would try to conduct a small testing research themselves.

With this 'short-course' we are trying to help you find your way in actually doing so. Investigate what webpages -including our webpage- is telling you, but also what leaders, organisations and churches are telling and teaching you. Put their words and ways through the test!

Start with a short description of what you want to know
Supposing: you have a certain question. Write this question down on paper in 5 lines. Use names, organisations,Bible-verses, etc. It can be used for memory or you can use all words to search in searchengines, books, etc.

Try to find information and use many-, different and independent sources
You have written down your 'problem'; you have put it to words and down to writing. Excellent. Now you can start solving the problem and start a 'quick search' in a number of 'open sources' that can give you information.

Examples of 'open sources' can be:

Digitale Study-Bible
With a digital-Bible you can excess several Bible-translations simultaniously by verse, book or letter. In this way you get a very extensive view and so you will be better in finding true meanings behind the written word(; of course only the Spirit of God that inspired the Word of God can truly bring you to the real meaning of the Word...).

The digital Bible has the option to search by word. And in this way you can connect the use of the same words faster and understand the context and use of that particular word better. This Bible also has a count on the 'basic words of the Scripture' ('Strongs') so you can look into 'the deepest level op the Bible'.

The internet and Search engines
The internet is a fast, modern and up-to-date aid in finding information; not always used by people in that way unfortenately. With a searchengine as 'Google' or 'Altavista' one can search by the word or by combinations of words in the native country or on the global internet.

Many people complain about 'info not being trustworthy'. Of course the source that gives the information is also important. What organisation, church or person supplies you with the info and what purposes do they have in doing so?

That is why it is better to compare and use many different webpages, but also other non-internet-sources as newspapers, (study-)books, TV, etc to 'cross-check' your results.

Other info-sources
In order to find or proove your findings you can also use clippings from papers or magazines, photos, etc. Do not forget to write on them where they came from and from what date! Always nice to know when others are checking your information.

Try to investigate from different angles
Many researchers have a narrow vision. When they investigate they only look directly to things. Try to look at your problem from a different perspective and look for clues in that way ánd check out whether your finding still match with conclusions already drawn! For example:

Problem is person X involved with a 'secret-society' [f.i. Illuminati, Masonry, Kabbalah, etc.]

Possible sources:

Other angles from which can be investigated:

This was just an example on how to look from different angles yet trying to establish to get an answer on your question without 'formal and direct evidence'. Of course this way of 'proving a point' isnot a written confession, but it does give a clear look at who a person is, what the person believes and what the person does and believes in everyday-life. And this info is often more reliable than 'formal statements' or 'given testimony'; often these formal documents and statements contain more lies... because no-one will knowingly say things that will 'hang' him- or herself!

Results on your investigation: acting on it!
The info you aquired can be put through the test by others, so keep evidence and conclusions in digital maps or in print-out (both is better!).

An investigation is not done for nothin. When you find answers to your questions share them with others and discuss your findings with them. If nescessary: do addtional research and change your findings with the new info.

In this way: everyone will benefit from your investigation!
